page: ‘skill’

  1. Generally, I’ve lately been drawn to the writer Liz Kotz

  2. Kotz’s exploration of artists (in the wake of Cage) turning to language as a key element of medium.

  3. Pay attention: “…composition, performance, and listening…”/”…production, transmission, reception…”/”…message transmission…”

  4. RINGS LIKE: PURPOSE AND AUDIENCE

  5. Conditions of clarity needed or the production of missiles (and their guidance, perhaps more importantly)…(this is of course too simple…of course)

  6. Keep in mind that Sheils has a criteria of  “structure and lucidity” – I read Sheils as reactionary - (published 1975) - when you read the fragment of the “Indian Alcatraz Proclamation”

  7. The dilemma of ‘skill’…both the Kotz and Sheils fragments are taken from pieces that in some way RE: “The ‘Crisis’ in Composition”…

  8. Need for determining the condition of clarity that can produce systems (missile guidance and otherwise)
